Using R for Data Mining

Talk given at NCAF, September 2007

NCAF is the Natural Computation Applications Forum %EXT%. We meet four times a year to discuss computer systems inspired by natural systems (e.g. how ants communicate) and how it can be used to do useful things!

In September 2007, I gave a talk entitled An Introduction to R - Free software for repeatable statistics, visualisation and modeling

Note that to run the examples, you may need to install extra libraries.

Learn R

There are plenty of online courses, and build in help. A good start is the R command
help.start()
which will bring up an introductory text in your web browser.
